Katy tried yoga for the first time as an elective her senior year in high school and ditched so many classes she had to clean the gym for extra credit to keep from failing the class. Having spent most of her life living in her head, it was incredibly frustrating to try to connect to her body. But she came back to yoga several years later, and once that mind-body connection happened, she was hooked, and the practice completely transformed her way of life. Katy decided to occupy her time doing yoga teacher training during an unsuccessful job search in 2014 and discovered a passion for sharing what she loved. And now here she is! If only Mr. Pena could see her now…he wouldn’t recognize her since she never showed up to his class.
