John Gates Whiteley has always had a passion for fitness- perhaps that is because from an early age, he needed to be able to run fast, jump high, and swing a heavy club in order to procure raw product for his father’s modest bearskin rug business.
John carried his passion for the human body with him to California Lutheran University where he graduated with a B.S. in Theoretical Quantum Reproductive Physics. After graduating, John’s other great passion- bettering his fellow man- led him to join the Peace Corps where he taught high altitude sock darning to villagers in rural Alberta Canada.
Today John can be found at Dane’s Body Shop swinging the largest kettlebells imaginable in the tiniest shorts possible.
